Loch Ness

Dragon boat paddling can take you to many beautiful locations and paddling Loch Ness was no exception.

Following a day of sightseeing and a breathtaking trip on a rib, conditions were right for our marathon paddle with a difference! We started off steadily and with our new drummer, Ben, dressed at Nessie, we were all in good spirits. The Scottish sun was shining and the scenery spectacular.

About 3 hours in, we realised that we had to cross the Loch to get to the end point. Things got a little hairy! Our helm, Nigel, kept the boat upright and thanks to some serious baling we made it! 26 miles later we enjoyed a well earned sandwich and a pint of amber nectar. We raised lots for the RNLI and had an unforgettable experience.
