A+ R A-

Paddle up the Thames to WindsorWindsor Paddle.... On the 7th October 2013 we all received an email looking for paddlers for a new and exciting event. It was advertised as a 'fun paddle' which should ‘be an hour  before stopping at the pub for lunch and paddling back.' This email was from Laura Mole who was conveniently absent on the actual day (friends birthdays and injured backs are not an excuse!) Safe to say no one really knew what to expect and.........

Team Building Trip to Wales

Leaving the dragon boat behind, the Hurricanes set off by coach to Ros Y Gwaliaua in North Wales.

The activity centre where we stayed put us in two dormitories, and we quickly established who was on the top bunk and who was on the bottom!

After social evening to remember with talent competition featuring singing and songwriting, egg roulette and Lets get cooking Hurricane’s style , the day was set for activities such as canyoning (not for the faint hearted), mountain scramble (burnt more than 3000 calories) and the more sedate, sailing.

The next day we braved the high rope course and whitewater rafting.

That evening we provided our own entertainment in the form of a kangaroo court brilliantly presided over by Peter K. What an excellent way to spend a weekend!white water rafting
